Jehan is a tattoo artist working at North SF, located in San Francisco.

The foundation of Jehan’s work begins with sound and the study of cymatics. She uses water to turn audio frequencies into physical patterns. The resulting patterns are a captured vibrational wave, an imprint of a singular moment in time. No pattern can be recreated in exactly the same way, making every piece unique to each individual.

Before a tattoo by Jehan reaches skin, it exists as sound.

Using water, audio frequencies, and a self built cymatics setup, she transforms vibration into physical patterns that have become the foundation for her designs. Every piece begins with a specific frequency, creating tattoos that are as much recordings as they are artwork.

Jehan’s practice occupies an unusual space between sound experimentation and handmade craft. The process is rooted in cymatics, the study of visible patterns produced by sound vibrations. Working through Ableton Live, she records and maps those patterns so each design can be traced back to the exact frequency that generated it.

  • $200/hr | $300 minimum

    $150 non-refundable deposit to reserve.

    $250 deposit for larger custom work.

    All deposits go towards the total cost.

    Deposits must be sent within 3 days of us agreeing an appointment time.

    I charge when the tattooing process begins and I do not include break time.

    Three rounds of design refinement are included. Additional major revisions are billed at $75 per hour.

    72 hours notice in advance is required for cancellations. Your deposit will roll the deposit over to the next appointment once.

  • You will receive a response between 3-7 days. If you are in town for a brief period, please state that in the subject line.

  • The minimum is $300. There are multiple factors that go into pricing a piece, such as design intricacy, size and placement. After reading your form, an estimate will be emailed based on these factors.

  • Please come with comfortable and loose clothing.

    Bring snacks and any entertainment. I do my best work with minimal talking while I’m actively tattooing.

    Please let me know if sitting for many hours is hard for you so I can account for breaks or potentially plan to schedule two sessions.

  • If at least 72 hours in advance, rescheduling is free. Deposit will roll over to next appointment once. Otherwise a $50 rebooking fee is applied.

  • A flash tattoo is an existing design that has already been drawn or ithese are most up to date on instagram. Check "available" highlights. Appointments for flash can be booked sooner as it's a design that has already been created.

    A custom tattoo is one that I will create based of your request/idea. Timing for this could be weeks out depending on my availability. I do not send over custom designs before the appointment.

  • I love doing custom requests. There will be a separate charge for custom requests and the time it takes if more options/revisions are requested further than 3 rounds of back and forth.

    The more information, clarity, references provided, the less time it will take to create.

    I do not copy other artists tattoos or designs.

    AI references are okay, but I will not tattoo AI art.

  • These are ready-to-go designs you can view in the “Available” highights.

    All pieces are repeatable.

    I am open to making small revisions and there will be a $50 fee applied.

  • Touch ups are free within the first 3 months. Shoot me a message and we’ll get you scheduled.
